Overview

Algo structure. Human discipline.

Følg meg is not a set-and-forget bot. It is a systematic trading algo plus disciplined human oversight — signals and rules on one side, strict monitoring on the other — running on a real account sized around $100k. Myfxbook holds the live performance book; this case study covers the thesis, the supervision model, and why the results are partly a product of that discipline.

Why build it

Structure is cheap. Oversight is the work

Backtests are cheap. I wanted a system that survives live markets — and I knew the system only works when someone is watching it with strict rules. The algo sets the structure; oversight and discipline decide whether that structure holds.

Constraints

  • Live capital changes the problem

Slippage, gaps, and psychology show up only when real money is on the line. The build had to assume imperfect fills and protect the account first — including knowing when not to let the algo run unsupervised.

  • Algo alone is not the edge

The strategy performs best under strict oversight and monitoring. Outcomes are not "the bot did this" — they are the system plus the discipline to follow rules, pause when conditions break, and stay present.

  • Proof without a vanity dashboard

Portfolio visitors need a clear story; traders need the full book. Myfxbook stays the source of truth for equity, drawdown, and trade history.

Approach

Rules first. Then stay with the book.

  1. 01

Defined entry, exit, and risk rules as an explicit system — not discretionary judgment invented in the moment.

  2. 02

Ran the strategy on a real account under continuous human supervision so performance reflects live conditions and live discipline, not a backtest-only claim.

  3. 03

Treated monitoring as part of the product: oversight, intervention thresholds, and the habit of staying with the book.

  4. 04

Published the track record on Myfxbook for independent verification.
